Musician Search LWFF2021
With our opening night taking place at the beautiful Everyman Cinema in Chelsea, we're looking for a musician to help us ring in opening night.
Like the filmmakers we screen and the designers we support, we're looking for a musician or group who is/are just starting out to integrate music into our increasingly multi-disciplinary festival.
You'll join us for opening night and will be playing in the expansive bar area after the screening has come to a close. This will be a time for networking, chatting, and catching up after a long 18 months apart, so we're looking for an act that might be one or two people, and can create an atmosphere that's upbeat, celebratory, without being too loud to stop people from hearing one another.
We're looking for someone within their first few years of establishing themselves as a musician. Talented buskers? Open mic night heroes? First time playing to a room?
Pay rate: £100
Set: 45 minutes
Location: Everyman Chelsea, London, SW3 5EW
Date: September 21st, approx 8:00pm
You will also be required to attend a tech set up and test prior to this date - details TBC.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and has hearing loops.
This is our first time integrating musicians into our festival. Starting in film supporting emerging filmmakers, and integrating in new graphic designers who create our poster and assets each year, we are very excited to welcome a talented local musician into our mix. We want this to be comfortable, fun, laid back and a great experience for everyone involved!
We'll chat with you and understand what you need in terms of tech, breaks, and anything further we can do to help promote you during and around the festival. If there is anything more we can do to support you through the application process or in preparation for the event, don't hesitate to let us know.
If this sounds like the ideal gig for you, apply below by filling out our attached application form! If you have any questions about this post, please contact us at email@example.com.
