James Wren
James is an actor, writer, producer, director, and the festival director of Unrestricted View Film Festival and Horror Festival in North London. He trained as an actor at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and has written and produced three feature films; Peacock Season (FMW) , The Trap (FMW) and The Man You're Not (FMW) (Johanna Lumley, Reese Shearsmith).
James has written and produced three television pilots – The Day They Came To Suck Out Our Brains for Channel Flip, The Cave for Warner Music and Greedy with Roll ‘Em. He heads the production company Unrestricted View, in-house production company of the Hen and Chickens Theatre, and has a long history of launching independent comedy and theatre acts. He has produced twelve plays and hundreds of comedy shows, including the massive Edinburgh Festival late-night hit, Spank!.
As an actor James has appeared in lead roles in the above features and pilots as well as leads in three West End shows (Les Miserables, Whistle down the Wind & The Canterbury Tales) and theatre shows across the country. James has also appeared in Live at The Electric (BBC), Messiah (BBC) and 20 Things To Do Before You’re 30 (Channel 4).
